Sabbir Khan


Bioinformatics Intern


Sabbir Khan is a passionate research enthusiast and a fourth-year student in the five-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Gazipur Agricultural University. He is currently working as a research assistant in the Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics Laboratory (MBBL) under the guidance of Dr. M. Nazmul Hoque, where his work focuses on metagenomics, microbial genetics, and bioinformatics.

With a keen interest in computational biology, Sabbir has been developing skills in R programming, Linux, and multi-omics data analysis, while also exploring wet lab techniques to broaden his research capabilities. He has actively participated in national and international academic and volunteer initiatives and has received recognition through various competitions.

Through the GSA Bioinformatics Internship 2025, Sabbir aims to expand his expertise in computational biology and contribute to impactful interdisciplinary research. His long-term vision is to integrate the One Health approach to address global health challenges through meaningful scientific contributions.
